Am I too old for braces?
No. Teeth respond to gentle pressure at any age. What changes with age is what the plan has to work around: existing crowns and fillings, gum health, and a bite that has settled into place over decades. Dr. Romans looks at all of it at your free consult before he recommends anything.
How much do adult braces cost in Anthem?

Will my braces be obvious at work?
Less obvious than the braces you remember. Ceramic brackets are tooth-colored, and self-ligating brackets do without the elastic ties, so there is less hardware on each tooth. If you would rather nothing showed at all, ask about Invisalign and clear aligners, which come out for a presentation or a lunch.
How long does treatment take for an adult?
It depends on how far your teeth and your bite have to move, and you get that estimate in writing at the same consult as the price. Crowding alone is a different job from a bite problem sitting underneath the crowding. Either way you will know the expected length before you agree to start, not after.
Does dental insurance cover braces for adults?
Sometimes, and it is worth checking rather than assuming. Orthodontic benefits work against a lifetime orthodontic maximum, which is a different pot from your annual dental maximum, and coverage for adults varies from plan to plan. We accept major PPO dental plans and verify yours during the consult, so the written price you leave with already reflects what your plan does. FSA and HSA funds are accepted too.
Do I have to wear a retainer after my braces come off?
Yes, and it is not an upsell: teeth drift for the rest of your life. Retainers are included in the written price you get at the consult, so retention is not a surprise cost at the end of treatment.
